WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced that the House Appropriations Committee has approved all 15 of her Community Project Funding submissions – advancing more than $30 million for projects in communities across Southeastern Minnesota. Craig's submissions came from local mayors, sheriffs and community leaders and will help to strengthen local infrastructure, grow the economy and improve public safety in communities across the Second District.

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, U.S. Representatives Angie Craig (D-MN) and Pete Stauber (R-MN) announced the introduction of the Tax Emergency Adjustment for Mileage Volunteers (TEAM Volunteers) Act, which would increase the charitable mileage reimbursement rate from $0.14 to $0.625 per mile for a 2-year period in order to address the financial burden that rising gas prices and inflationary pressures have placed on volunteer drivers.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Angie Craig signed a bipartisan letter alongside 16 of her colleagues calling on House leadership to hold a vote on legislation to ban stock trading by Members of Congress. Earlier this year, Craig introduced a House resolution that would require all Members to sell individual stocks and refrain from future ownership of individual stocks throughout their time in office.

WASHINGTON, DC – Last week, U.S. Representative Angie Craig and U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith introduced bipartisan, bicameral legislation that would rename the South St. Paul Post Office in honor of fallen South St. Paul Officer Leo Pavlak. After only four months on the force, Officer Pavlak was killed during a robbery on August 30, 1933. He is the only South St. Paul Officer to have been killed in the line of duty.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced her support of the Inver Grove Heights Police Department's application to receive $375,000 in additional funding from the COPS Hiring Program. This grant program is designed to provide funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire additional career law enforcement officers in an effort to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.
