Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig's bill to strengthen and improve oversight over the Small Business Administration's SCORE Program passed out of the House Committee on Small Business with unanimous bipartisan support.
The SCORE for Small Business Act of 2019 will hold SCORE more accountable while ensuring the program can focus on its mission and better serve rural areas, disadvantaged communities, and traditionally underserved communities using the program's entrepreneurial mentors.

Congresswoman Angie Craig Calls For Funding for Minnesota Farmers
Today, U.S. Reps. Angie Craig (MN-02), Betty McCollum (MN-04), and Ron Kind (WI-03) sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget pushing for the distribution of $100 million for the Army Corps of Engineers to address the impacts of this spring's devastating floods along the Mississippi River. The funds were included in the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act, and were signed into law by President Trump in June 2019. Those funds have not yet been disbursed so the Army Corps can do their jobs.
Today, U.S. Rep Angie Craig called on House leadership to include additional funds for Minnesota's family farmers in the spending bill expected on the House Floor this week. The continuing resolution must include authority for the Commodity Credit Corporation to extend past the $30 billion before October 1st, allowing for Market Facilitation Program and Farm Bill payments to be made to our farmers on time.
Today U.S. Rep. Angie Craig announced Goodhue, Scott and Wabasha Counties as well as the Prairie Island Indian Community are among the Minnesota counties eligible for USDA grants to continue recovery efforts from extreme weather and flooding. The USDA is making $150 million of grants available through the Community Facility Program for repairs and improvements to essential community facilities like streets, nursing homes, childcare centers, and libraries.
