WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Congresswoman Angie Craig's Right to Contraception Act, which would shore up access to birth control in the wake of the Supreme Court's assault on reproductive rights and other fundamental freedoms. This legislation would codify the legal right for women to access devices and medication designed to prevent pregnancy – such as birth control pills, IUDs and condoms.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig voted to pass the Respect for Marriage Act, which would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), codify marriage equality under federal law and provide additional legal protections for marriage equality.
