The revolving loan program was established by the Safeguarding Tomorrow Though Ongoing Risk Mitigation (STORM Act) after former President Trump signed into law the Senate counterpart to Craig's bipartisan legislation earlier this year.

WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, during a House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing on lowering the cost of prescription drugs, U.S. Representative Angie Craig highlighted the story of Bob Miller, a constituent from Prior Lake, MN whose multiple sclerosis medication skyrocketed in price by nearly $100,000 annually. At the hearing, the subcommittee considered the impact of H.R. 3, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act, which would save Minnesota families tens of thousands of dollars in prescription drug costs.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representatives Angie Craig (D-MN) and Troy Balderson (R-OH) introduced the PPP Second Draw Fairness Act to establish a more flexible set of eligibility parameters around the second draw of Paycheck Protection Program funds. This bipartisan legislation would ensure that the hardest hit small businesses are able to access a second round of PPP payments by measuring a reduction in revenue over any consecutive 90-day period in 2020, rather than examinations structured strictly on quarterly profits.

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bipartisan bill co-sponsored by U.S. Representative Angie Craig which would require employers in the health care and social services industries to develop and implement workplace violence prevention plans to protect nurses, physicians, social workers, emergency responders and others. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers in those industries are nearly five times as likely to suffer a serious workplace violence injury than other American workers.
