WASHINGTON, DC – This week, the House of Representatives approved two amendments filed by Representative Craig to be included in the America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing, Pre-Eminence in Technology, and Economic Strength (COMPETES) Act, a bill to increase U.S. competitiveness with China and support American manufacturing. Craig's amendments, which are listed below, are designed to invest in apprenticeship colleges to create good-paying jobs and address food supply chain challenges that are causing higher prices for working Americans.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representative Angie Craig announced that the U.S. Department of Justice has awarded the Dakota County Sheriff's Office with nearly $170,000 in grant funding as a part of the Department of Justice's Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program. The program, which Dakota County applied to in 2021 and representative Craig supported, provides funding to law enforcement agencies seeking to purchase body-worn cameras in the line of duty.

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig helped introduce the Invest to Protect Act of 2022, a bipartisan bill to provide $50 million in grants for small and mid-sized police departments to invest in training, equipment, personnel support, and mental health resources. Police departments with forces of 200 officers or less – which represent more than 95% of police departments including every department in Minnesota's Second District – would be eligible to apply for grants under the legislation.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig led more than 30 of her colleagues in urging the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to reconsider a 14.5% increase in Medicare Part B premiums in 2022. Late last year, CMS announced that Medicare's Part B monthly premium for 2022 would increase by $21.60 – an increase largely driven by the exorbitant launch price of a newly approved Alzheimer's drug called Aduhlem.

In recent years, the United States Congress has been plagued by allegations of insider trading – necessitating urgent action to restore Americans' faith in their elected leaders and remove even the appearance of misconduct. Craig's bill will require all Members to sell individual stocks and refrain from future ownership of individual stocks throughout their time in office.
