Representative Craig Highlights Bipartisan Legislative Accomplishments to Date
Craig Ranks in the Top 15% of Most Bipartisan Members of Congress and Top 10% in Votes Against Democratic Leadership
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig highlighted her bipartisan voting record and accomplishments in the 117th Congress to date.
"Our job as elected officials is to represent the districts we serve. We are best able to do that when we all work together to identify the commonsense solutions that will help improve the lives of every American, no matter their party or zip code," said Representative Craig. "When I was elected, I made a promise to do just that – and I am proud that my voting record shows I have kept that promise to work with anyone with a good idea for the people of Minnesota's Second District."
Craig frequently crosses party lines to vote against her Democratic colleagues. According to data from ProPublica, Craig is ranked 14th out of 224 House Democrats in terms of votes against her party, putting her in the top 6%. A number of these votes relate to measures that would have substantially reduced funding for defense capabilities against Russia and China.
Earlier this year, the Nonpartisan Lugar Center ranked Craig 65th out of 425 in bipartisanship among fellow members of Congress, putting her among the top 15% most bipartisan members of Congress.
Craig has had over a dozen sponsored bills and amendments pass through the House, including the Year-Round Fuel Choice Act and the Affordable Insulin Now Act. Nearly 20% of her cosponsored bills have passed the House, including the recent Public Safety Officer Support Act, which is set to be signed by the President. Of the bills and amendments sponsored and cosponsored by Rep. Craig, over 80% of them are bipartisan.
