Craig announced that she secured $10,720,000 in federal funding for the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) to add hybrid diesel buses to its fleet and modernize the Burnsville Bus Garage. MVTA will receive $8,000,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Low-or-No-Emission Grant Program to support its fleet expansion and $2,720,000 from DOT’s Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Grant Program to fund Phase IV of the Burnsville Bus Garage Modernization project.
