Craig’s legislation would require every sitting member of the U.S. House of Representatives to immediately sell their individual stocks and refrain from future stock ownership while in office. Rep. Craig first introduced this legislation in 2022.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, as Congress comes back into session following a week-long district work period, U.S. Representative Angie Craig is continuing to lead the charge to protect the Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and ensure Minnesota’s kids, seniors, veterans and people with disabilities can put food on the table. 

Last month, House Republicans passed a partisan budget bill that cut nearly $290 billion from SNAP – a program that is under the jurisdiction of the House Committee on Agriculture.

WASHINGTON — During an hours-long spending bill debate Wednesday, U.S. Representative Angie Craig (D-MN) strongly criticized proposed Republican-led cuts to the nutrition title of the Farm Bill, which she emphasized is a crucial part of the bill. She argued that these cuts—she said amounting to $313 billion—would jeopardize the entire Farm Bill and disproportionately harm vulnerable populations, including children, veterans, and seniors.

Specifically, Craig pointed to South Carolina.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representatives Angie Craig (D-MN) and Ashley Hinson (R-IA) led 26 of their bipartisan colleagues in calling on the Administration to expand annual Renewable Volumes Obligations for biomass-based diesel in their upcoming rulemaking for 2026.

In a letter to President Donald Trump, the Members urged the Administration to support a strong Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) by adopting timely, robust blending requirements in the upcoming “Set 2” rule establishing Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) for 2026 and beyond.
