Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig's bipartisan legislation to improve the Small Business Administration's 504 Loan Program passed out of the House Small Business Committee. This legislation, the 504 Modernization and Small Manufacturer Enhancement Act, was introduced last week with Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH) to increase maximum loan amounts, streamline the loan process and provide additional support to manufacturers who apply for the loan from local Small Business Administration (SBA) District Offices.

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig announced that farmers in Minnesota's Second Congressional District have received $103,171 in grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). Rep. Craig has consistently advocated for investments in rural energy and recently secured a $20 million increase for REAP in H.R. 7617, which passed the House in July 2020.

Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. House Committee on Small Business joined Lisa Peterson, President of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce to listen to the needs of Northfield small businesses during the economic crisis spurred on by COVID-19. Rep. Craig also talked to Mayor Rhonda Pownell about the state of business in the city.

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig toured the future route of the Veterans Memorial Greenway in Eagan and Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. This 5-mile, accessible paved route through scenic Dakota County landscapes is expected to feature several memorials that will be designed and built in partnership with veterans' organizations. It will also connect the surrounding neighborhoods to Lebanon Hills Regional Park and the existing Mississippi River Greenway.

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig helped to pass the Delivering for America Act, which she cosponsored earlier this week. The bill would require Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to return the level of service provided by USPS to levels before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, Congresswoman Angie Craig, a member of the U.S. House Committee on Small Business, visited local businesses in Red Wing and Lake City to listen to their needs during the economic crisis. She was joined by Red Wing Mayor Shawn Dowse, Patty Brown, Executive Director of the Red Wing Chamber of Commerce and Michelle Larson, Executive Director of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce.

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig was joined by Congresswoman Betty McCollum, South St. Paul Mayor Jimmy Francis and local elected officials to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment in South St. Paul.

South St. Paul is a historic place for today's celebration to take place. Shortly after its ratification on August 18, 1920, South St. Paul's Marguerite Newburgh became the first woman to vote in the United States after the passage of the 19th Amendment.
