WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig (D-MN) announced that the City of Nerstrand Fire Department will receive a $281,428 regional grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program. This funding is eligible to be used to provide firefighters with improved National Fire Protection Association compliant tools and equipment as well as new state-of-the-art training programs.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig reintroduced the Safe Stay Act, which would require the installation of carbon monoxide detectors in each hotel and motel room across the country. This legislation, which was originally introduced in the 116th Congress, was motivated by the story of Lakeville resident Leslie Lienemann, who was hospitalized with a serious illness following a near-fatal carbon monoxide poisoning incident in a Michigan hotel room.
