RED WING, MN – This week, U.S. Representative Angie Craig helped secure nearly $2 million for Red Wing Ignite to expand their start-up and entrepreneurship support program. The funding will enable Red Wing Ignite to provide increased resources and support to entrepreneurs in underserved communities across Southeast Minnesota. In April, Representative Craig wrote a letter in support of Red Wing Ignite’s application for the grant.

BURNSVILLE, MN – This week, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced that the City of Burnsville will receive $36,113 from the Department of Justice to support the city’s efforts to prevent and control crime. This grant funding is made possible through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, which helps local governments support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own local needs and conditions.

WASHINGTON, DC – Last week, U.S. Representative Angie Craig helped the Rice County Opioid Response Council secure nearly $1 million to reduce overdose deaths, promote public safety and support access to treatment, recovery and harm reduction resources. In June, Representative Craig submitted a letter to the Department of Justice in support of Rice County Community Services' application for the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant and Substance Abuse Site-based Program grant.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig applauded the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) announcement that Medicare beneficiaries will see their Part B premiums decrease in 2023. Earlier this year, Representative Craig led 30 of her colleagues in calling on CMS to revisit and reverse a significant hike in Medicare Part B premiums, which exacerbated financial hardships for millions of older Americans.

The Coordinating Tribal Assistance Program allocates funding for American Indian and Alaska Native communities to meet the unique public safety challenges facing their communities, enhance law enforcement, bolster justice systems and serve crime victims.
