U.S. Rep. Angie Craig Secures Nearly $1 Million in Federal Funds for Dakota County Law Enforcement
Funding will be used to build a state-of-the-art records management system for the Dakota County Criminal Justice Network
INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig joined U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and members of Dakota County law enforcement to announce $963,000 in federal funding for the Dakota County Criminal Justice Network.
Earlier this year, Rep. Craig worked closely with Dakota County law enforcement leaders to secure the funding needed to create a new state-of-the-art records management system to help improve the efficiency and accuracy of information sharing between Minnesota’s law enforcement agencies.
“When it comes to public safety, getting the right information at the right time makes a world of difference. This new records management system will help increase efficiency, accuracy and collaboration within the entire Dakota County Criminal Justice Network – and I’m proud to have secured the funding needed to make this system a reality,” said Rep. Craig.

This new system will build the connections between agencies, departments and officers needed to share accurate information quickly and increase efficiency, collaboration and staff support throughout the entire network.
