U.S. Rep. Angie Craig Secures $500,000 Investment for Apple Valley Inclusive Playground

APPLE VALLEY, MN – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced $500,000 to help create an inclusive playground in Apple Valley.

Rep. Craig worked to secure funding to construct an inclusive playground that will meet and exceed the requirements set in the Americans with Disabilities Act, giving all residents equal opportunity to enjoy the playground and play together.

This funding will also be used to construct supportive accessible facilities such as parking, restrooms, a splash pad and gathering spaces.

“Every child deserves to have fun, and to do so safely, and that's what today’s funding will help accomplish in Apple Valley. I’ll keep working to build a more welcoming and inclusive community for our children, no matter their ability,” said Rep Craig.
