U.S. Rep. Angie Craig Secures $1 Million Federal Investment to Improve Internet Access in Rural Minnesota
LE SUEUR, MN – U.S. Representative Angie Craig secured $1 million in federal funding to improve internet access in Le Sueur County.
Rep. Craig pushed to secure this funding to help build the broadband infrastructure needed to establish county-wide internet access and spur economic development.
“Right now, too many Minnesotans living in rural communities lack the internet access they need to thrive – and we have to work hard to change that. That’s why I worked to secure this broadband infrastructure investment here in Le Sueur to help build a future where every single Minnesotan can access high-speed internet from their home,” said Rep. Craig.
As co-chair of the Bipartisan Rural Broadband Caucus, Rep. Craig has led several efforts to improve high-speed internet in rural communities.
Last March, she hosted a roundtable discussion with Le Sueur County leaders to discuss the infrastructure and federal investments needed to increase internet access in their communities.
