U.S. Rep. Angie Craig Passes Bipartisan National Security Legislation

April 20, 2024

Legislation includes Craig-backed provisions targeting fentanyl traffickers

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig helped pass a bipartisan national security supplemental package through the House.

The legislation will send critical aid to Ukraine in their fight against Russia, help replenish Israel’s military defenses following recent attacks from Iran, send support to Taiwan and secure humanitarian aid for civilians in Gaza.

The legislation also includes provisions supported by Rep. Craig targeting fentanyl traffickers.

“America does not abandon its allies, and that’s what we showed in the House today. This bipartisan legislation will send long overdue aid to our allies in Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan and provide civilians in Gaza with much-needed humanitarian assistance,” said Rep. Craig. “Acts of bipartisanship have become so rare this Congress – I hope the House can continue to work across the aisle and solve the challenges facing our nation and allies. I will do my part to accomplish that goal and protect our national security.”
