Update from Rep. Angie Craig Following Today’s Surgery

BURNSVILLE, MN – Following her successful surgery this morning, Rep. Angie Craig issued the following statement:

“This morning, I underwent successful surgery to repair three fractures in my left ankle, leaving me with nine screws and a plate in my ankle as well as an internal tightrope device to stabilize the ligament. It may take a little more time to get all that new hardware through security at the airport – but I’m looking forward to scooting around the district and DC again soon!”

Following her injury on Monday, Rep. Craig was advised by her physician not to fly in advance of today’s surgery or immediately after. She hopes to be back to work remotely next week and back for votes as soon as she is cleared to travel.
