July 1, 2020

Craig: “Today My Colleagues Joined Me in Demonstrating the Flexibility and Adaptability We Expect for Our Small Businesses”

Today, Rep. Angie Craig's bipartisan legislation to immediately extend the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) until August 8th has unanimously passed the House of Representatives. This bill would allow small businesses to continue to access COVID-19 relief funds for five additional weeks.

"Today my colleagues joined me in demonstrating the flexibility and adaptability we expect for our small businesses. We just unanimously passed bipartisan legislation allowing Main Streets to access the $130 billion remaining in the Paycheck Protection Program through August 8th," said Rep. Craig.

Rep. Craig's legislation (S.4116/H.R.7437) is cosponsored by Rep. Troy Balderson (R-OH). S.4116 passed the Senate yesterday, and will now be sent to the President for his signature. This will be Rep. Craig's second bill to be signed into law.
