Representative Angie Craig Statement on President Biden’s Address to Joint Session of Congress
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig released the following statement after the conclusion of President Biden's Address to a Joint Session of Congress:
"Just 100 days after taking the oath of office, President Biden's remarks to a Joint Session of Congress represented a welcome summary of the hard work and results achieved so far to help lift our nation from the depths of the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis.
Tonight, I was pleased to hear the President express a steadfast commitment to the American worker – and pledge to build an economy centered around strengthening and growing the middle class. I agree with his acknowledgement that, while we have made important strides in the early days of the 117th Congress, our work is far from over.
Perhaps most of all, I am grateful to hear a President speaking directly to the American people with the goal of uniting our country around a common purpose."
