Rep. Craig Statement on Vote Against Republicans’ Short-Term Government Funding Bill

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig released the following statement on her vote against the Republicans' short-term government funding bill.  

“After the damage Republicans did with their 'Big Ugly Bill,’ I refuse to vote for a short-term funding package that yet again fails to meet the needs of everyday Americans.

When I voted against this bill today, I did so on behalf of the 140,000 Minnesotans who could lose their health insurance because of the Republican budget and the rural clinics and hospitals across our state that are already closing their doors.

We have to stand firm against President Trump and Republicans’ attacks on working Minnesotans. While they continue to show that they are more concerned with lining the pockets of billionaires than they are with the health of American families, I will continue fighting for working and middle-class Minnesotans – today and every day.”
