Rep. Angie Craig’s Bipartisan Bill to Help Small Businesses Advances with Unanimous Support
Craig’s SCORE for Small Business Act of 2019 passed out of the House Small Business Committee
Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig's bill to strengthen and improve oversight over the Small Business Administration's SCORE Program passed out of the House Committee on Small Business with unanimous bipartisan support.
The SCORE for Small Business Act of 2019 will hold SCORE more accountable while ensuring the program can focus on its mission and better serve rural areas, disadvantaged communities, and traditionally underserved communities using the program's entrepreneurial mentors.
"Small businesses are at the heart of our district's thriving economies and robust communities - from Hastings to Cannon Falls to Zumbrota," said Rep. Craig. "I'm proud to see a common-sense, bipartisan effort like this pass out of committee, and I look forward to continuing to expand economic opportunity and entrepreneurship for Minnesotans through critical programs like SCORE."
Rep. Craig serves on the Small Business Committee, where she works to support the success of local entrepreneurs.
