BURNSVILLE, MN – U.S. Representative Angie Craig is urging all eligible Second District veterans to apply for PACT Act benefits as soon as possible.

Veterans who apply for their PACT Act benefits – or submit their intent to file – by August 9th, 2023 may receive benefits backdated to August 10th, 2022.

Veterans who have questions about the PACT Act should call Rep. Craig’s office at (651) 846-2120. Veterans should contact an accredited Veteran Service Officer for help applying for PACT Act benefits.

“The PACT Act provided one of the largest health care and benefits expansions for our nation’s veterans. I am urging all Second District veterans to determine their eligibility for these essential benefits – and apply for them by August 9th. My office is here to help,” said Rep. Craig.

The PACT Act, which Rep. Craig helped pass last year, expands VA health care and benefits for veterans who were exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances during their service. Specifically, the PACT Act expands and extends health care eligibility for veterans with toxic exposures and veterans of the Vietnam, Gulf War and Post 9/11 era.
