Rep. Angie Craig Statement of Support for Bipartisan Budget Agreement

WASHINGTON, DC – Ahead of today’s House vote on the Bipartisan Budget Agreement, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig issued the following statement in support of the bill:

“Compromise means that neither side gets everything they want. Especially in divided government, both parties must work together to find a way to get the job done.

“Defaulting on our nation’s debt is not an option, and despite its flaws, supporting the Bipartisan Budget Agreement is the right decision for our continued economic recovery.”

Rep. Craig is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair multiple fractures in her left ankle on Thursday morning and was advised by her physician not to fly in advance of the surgery or immediately after.
