Rep. Angie Craig Named to House Committee on Agriculture

February 14, 2023

As Ag Committee member, Rep. Craig will help write the 2023 Farm Bill

WASHINGTON DC – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced her continued service on the House Committee on Agriculture.

This will be Rep. Craig’s third term serving on the committee. She currently represents about 4,000 family farms in Congress.

“Our farmers and producers are the driving force that make our country strong – and it’s an honor to represent Minnesota’s agricultural community as a member of the House Committee on Agriculture,” said Rep. Craig. “This Congress, the committee will take on the immense responsibility of writing the 2023 Farm Bill, a piece of legislation that will dictate our national agricultural policy for years to come. I’m looking forward to working across the aisle to write a Farm Bill that effectively addresses the challenges our farmers are facing and ensures they have the resources they need, not only to survive – but to thrive.”

The House Committee on Agriculture establishes federal agricultural policy and provides funding to support agricultural research and development. This year, the committee will author the 2023 Farm Bill – legislation written every five years that dictates national agriculture, nutrition, conservation and forestry policy.
