Congresswoman Craig: My Responsibility is to Listen to Everyone and to Look for Common Ground

January 3, 2019

Today, Congresswoman Angie Craig was sworn in to serve Minnesota's Second District in the United States Congress.

"I am humbled and honored to represent Minnesota's Second District. In Congress, my responsibility is to listen to everyone, and to work to find places of common ground that move our communities forward," said Craig. "I believe we can work together to ensure every Minnesotan has access to affordable, quality health care, to invest in the infrastructure of our communities and to invest in career skills and technical education again.

"Thank you to my family who joined me today and supported my call to serve our community, including my wife Cheryl Greene and our four sons, Josh, Jonas, Jacob and Isaac.

"Most of all, I'd like to thank every constituent in the Second District. I work for you. I look forward to meeting with you in your communities and talking with, listening to and learning from you. My commitment is to work and fight on your behalf – to lead good policy that makes your lives better."
