Congresswoman Craig Announces More Than $500,000 Returned to Constituents in MN-02

July 28, 2020

Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced that she has returned over $500,000 from the federal government to constituents in Minnesota's Second District from Inver Grove Heights to Red Wing. Since January 2019, Rep. Craig's casework team has completed over 907 cases on behalf of Minnesotans, resolving red-tape and improper decisions by federal agencies.

Rep. Craig's office returned these dollars to taxpayers by expediting returns owed from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and securing backlogged benefits from federal agencies like the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the U.S. Social Security Administration. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rep. Craig has prioritized assisting constituents with issues related to the economic and health effects of the crisis—as well as helping Minnesotans return from abroad amid the pandemic.

"The most important work we can do as Members of Congress is ensuring the federal government is working for Minnesotans," said Rep. Craig. "I'm proud that our team has been able to close over 900 cases and return more than $500,000 to constituents. We remain ready and able to help any resident of Minnesota's Second Congressional District navigate the federal government."
