"Today I listened to the concerns of small business owners in Red Wing and Lake City and learned how we must continue to support them and foster a safe reopening of our economy," said Rep. Craig. "Small, locally-owned businesses are the lifeblood of our communities, which is why I worked across the aisle to pass my bill to extend the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for the hardest-hit small businesses in Minnesota. I will always use my seat on the House Small Business Committee to ensure that the needs of locally-owned businesses are brought to the table in Congress, during COVID-19 relief negotiations and all other economic matters."

Rep. Craig is a steadfast champion of small businesses and has fought to support them through the impacts of COVID-19 to keep the American dream alive. She has continuously fought to level the playing field for small, locally-owned businesses. Her bill to extend the deadline for PPP funding was signed into law on July 4th by the President and she has introduced legislation giving the hardest hit small businesses a second round of funding.
