Congresswoman Angie Craig Secures $84,000 for the Scott County Sheriff’s Department to Purchase New Equipment
The funding will help ensure the department has the resources needed to provide swift and comprehensive disaster relief and response efforts
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Angie Craig secured $84,000 in federal funding for the Scott County Sheriff’s Department to purchase critical disaster relief and rescue equipment. The new equipment will help ensure the department can swiftly and effectively respond to public safety challenges across Scott County.
“With this funding, the department will have an increased ability to safely and swiftly respond to any rescue or recovery mission they undertake. I’m proud to bring these federal dollars home to Scott County to ensure the law enforcement personnel who serve the Second District have the resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively,” said Representative Craig.

The right equipment and technology can make a huge impact in life-saving efforts for residents in Scott County and beyond," said Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen. "The funding that Representative Craig helped secure for the Scott County Sheriff's Office will assist us in responding to and rescuing those who are injured or require immediate care."
The federal funding will help ensure community safety while providing swift and comprehensive disaster relief and response efforts. This equipment and technology will assist in the response, rescue and recovery of any injured individual requiring medical attention or care. Additionally, equipment purchased could assist with barricaded subjects trapped due to natural or other disasters in the field.
