Congresswoman Angie Craig Personally Thanks Health Care and Frontline Workers

U.S. Rep. Angie Craig expressed her deep gratitude to our heroic health care workers by delivering lunches to the medical staff at M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital today as well as hosting an in-depth virtual healthcare panel to discuss the resources our medical community needs moving forward.
"I want to personally thank every health care worker and frontline workers who are giving up so much to keep us healthy and safe," said Rep. Craig. "I am so proud to be a Minnesotan, working together across the delegation, right now to do what's right for our neighbors. We need more of the empathy and commitment you bring to work every day reflected in our policies aimed to help communities survive this pandemic."

During today's discussion, Rep. Craig heard directly about the critical needs of health care workers in the Second District, which she will fight tirelessly for in the next COVID-19 relief packages:
- Telemedicine, including telephonic visits, must be more available to residents and eligible for reimbursement. For folks in rural areas without broadband access, the ability to connect with healthcare providers via telephone is critical.
- Mental health services must be prioritized and adopt virtual and telephonic practices, especially right now with the resources for so many of our neighbors stretched thin there is an increased need for mental health resources that need to be addressed now.
- Personal Protective Equipment and testing capacity must remain a priority, especially as we start to think about allowing elective procedures to resume.
Finally, Rep. Craig invites all Minnesotans to thank our local heroes by sending a digital thank you note. To participate send your thank you note here.
