"This morning I visited small businesses in Northfield with the Chamber of Commerce to talk with their owners about how we can work together to provide critical support to foster a safe reopening of our local economies," said Rep. Craig. "As we talked with business owners today, I'm reminded that small businesses are not only the fabric of our local communities but also the realization of the American dream. That's why I'm going to continue fighting to keep them alive, whether that's authoring laws to ensure funds are available to them or pushing for flexibility for restaurants."

Rep. Craig is a steadfast champion of small businesses and has fought to support them through the impacts of COVID-19 to keep the American dream alive. She has continuously fought to level the playing field for small, locally-owned businesses. Her bill to extend the deadline for PPP funding was signed into law on July 4th by the President and she has introduced legislation giving the hardest hit small businesses a second round of funding.
