Congresswoman Angie Craig Joins House Democrats to Unveil Legislation to Strengthen Protections for Pre-Existing Conditions and Lower Healthcare Costs

At Unveiling, Rep. Craig Highlights the Importance of Lowering Healthcare Costs in the Individual Marketplace

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig (MN-02) joined House Democrats to introduce legislation to protect people with pre-existing conditions and lower health care costs.

"In my conversations with hardworking families, the number one issue they want to tackle is healthcare - because they are experiencing the heart of the problem: if healthcare isn't affordable, it isn't accessible. That's why I've been leading efforts to lower the cost of health insurance premiums through the State Health Care Premium Reduction Act and am grateful it has been incorporated into the Protecting Pre-Existing Conditions & Making Health Care More Affordable Act of 2019, which we are introducing today to protect people with pre-existing conditions from unfair treatment and lower the cost of healthcare," said Rep. Angie Craig.
