Congresswoman Angie Craig Hosts Virtual Kids Roundtable

May 7, 2020

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig hosted a roundtable for elementary and middle-school students across the Second Congressional District. As students are distance learning, Rep. Craig wanted to provide them with an opportunity to ask her the questions that are on their minds right now.

"Today I had a blast answering questions from students," said Rep. Angie Craig. "I can't say thank you enough to the teachers who are making sure distance learning is effective for all of their students, for the parents who are stepping in to make sure technology works and the schools who are providing meals to keep students fed. Today I hope I provided students with a small change to their daily routines and that our discussion brought a smile to their faces."

Some of the questions asked today were:

Do you have pets?Yes! Rep. Craig has a dog named Summitt, who will celebrate her 12th birthday next week. She also has a cat named Sophie, who is a new addition to the family.

What is a normal day for you?Rep. Craig's day normally starts around 8 AM and ends around 9 PM after Rep. Craig finishes all her homework for the day. She tries to meet with every Minnesotan that she can. (You heard that right, she has homework every night!)

How long will the quarantine last? While we don't know that exactly, scientists and doctors are working really hard to come up with a vaccine to make sure we are safe.
