Congresswoman Angie Craig Announces More Than $100,000 in USDA Rural Energy Grants in MN-02
Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig announced that farmers in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District have received $103,171 in grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). Rep. Craig has consistently advocated for investments in rural energy and recently secured a $20 million increase for REAP in H.R. 7617, which passed the House in July 2020.
“Bringing needed resources to our rural communities is a top priority of mine,” said Rep. Craig. “I’m pleased to see the grant dollars I’ve pushed for benefiting our community and I’ll keep fighting for energy investments in Greater Minnesota.”
Rep. Craig led the charge in funding for REAP during appropriations for FY2020 and FY2021. You can read her bipartisan letter pushing for robust funding for the Rural Energy for America Program here.
