Brenny Will Join Rep. Craig When the President Addresses the Joint Session of Congress on February 5th

Burnsville, MN [2/1/2019] – Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig announced that Katie Brenny will be her guest at the President's State of the Union Address on February 5th.

Brenny is a cattle farmer, businesswoman, and agriculture advocate from Mazeppa, Minnesota. She and her husband Ted both have day jobs in the agriculture field to ensure they have health care and are able to invest in their futures. They are 5th generation farmers and work early hours and late nights to build their farm.

Rep. Craig fought for a spot on the House Committee on Agriculture because of her deep roots in rural America with her grandfather, who worked as a farm foreman for decades. She is committed to providing a voice to family farmers in Washington.

"I'm honored to have Katie as my guest at the President's State of the Union Address," said Rep. Craig. "I'm humbled by the work she must do at her day job to have affordable health care and a sustainable retirement fund, and I'm committed to fighting not only to make sure we prioritize the voices of family farmers but also that we find ways to lower the cost of healthcare."

The President's State of the Union Address will be held in the U.S. House Chamber on Tuesday night, February 5th.
