KTTC: Rep. Angie Craig reintroduces bill to hold USPS accountable for ‘unacceptable’ mail service
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – DFL second-district congresswoman Rep. Angie Craig has reintroduced her bill to hold the United States Postal Service accountable for what she called “unacceptable mail delivery service.”
In a press release, Craig said this was in response to a recent ranking that put the Minnesota-North Dakota region in the bottom ten nationally for on-time mail delivery.
Craig’s Postal Delivery Accountability Act would require USPS to notify customers of undelivered or partially delivered routes by zip code. She said additional public reporting would help with transparency.
DFL Minnesota Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith along with Republicans John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota introduced companion legislation in the Senate.
