Nonpartisan Common Ground Committee Ranks Angie Craig in the Top 10% Most Bipartisan Members of Congress
In the 117th Congress, 80% of the bills introduced or cosponsored by Craig have been bipartisan
WASHINGTON, DC – This week, the Common Ground Committee ranked U.S. Representative Angie Craig in the top 10% most bipartisan Members of Congress. The Common Ground Committee is a nonpartisan, citizen-led organization that seeks to motivate the public to find common ground and reduce incivility and partisanship.
"When I was sworn in, I took an oath to represent each and every one of my constituents – regardless of how they vote," said Representative Craig. "Since the day I arrived in Washington, I have worked hard to live up to that oath and reach across the aisle to deliver for Minnesotans. I'm honored to be named one of the most bipartisan Members of Congress – and I will continue to work with anybody who has a good idea for the Second District."
Earlier this year, the Nonpartisan Lugar Center ranked Craig among the top 15% most bipartisan Members of Congress. The Lugar Center is a nonprofit organization that brings together expert sources and sponsors research to improve the quality of debate and bridge ideological divides around these important issues. Similar to the Common Ground Committee, the Lugar Center's efforts to advance bipartisan governance are grounded on the belief that leaders and citizens can act in a bipartisan manner irrespective of their party loyalties, their ideology or their individual interests.
