Press Release

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig released the following statement on the announcement of a USMCA trade agreement:

“I’m proud to announce that an agreement has been reached on USMCA that bolsters our economy, is good for family farmers, protects American workers, and improves access to affordable prescription drugs,” said Rep. Angie Craig. “Over the past few months I’ve heard from farmers and business owners about the need for a trade deal that opens up export markets, and I’ve pushed to make sure hard-working Minnesotans weren’t given a false choice between open markets and affordable healthcare. I’m proud to have worked with my colleagues and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to make sure that big drug companies don’t get away with inserting provisions that create less competition and higher prices. It’s time to pass USMCA through the full House before the end of the year, and I look forward to voting for this important trade agreement.”
