As unpredictable weather increases, working families and farmers across the district face issues ranging from flood damage to barn collapses. Rep. Craig is committed to fighting for stronger infrastructure and access to disaster relief for every Minnesota family facing the effects of natural disasters and more extreme weather.

Rep. Craig’s work to assist communities in need

  • On Monday, March 18, Rep. Craig held a flood briefing with state and local leaders in Hastings to talk about how federal, state, and local governments can work together to prevent flood damage in the district.

  • On Tuesday, March 19, after hosting a flood briefing, Rep. Craig visited Jordan to assess flood damage with local leaders and visited a Red Cross shelter housing families already displaced by the spring flood season.

  • On Saturday, March 23, Rep. Craig joined Governor Tim Walz to fill sandbags to assist communities that might be impacted by the spring flooding.

  • During the week of March 18, Rep. Craig’s staff filled sandbags with folks from the Prairie Island Indian Community and in South St. Paul.
